What to Expect
Join leaders from around Nashville as we discover what it means for the Church to be the answer to the needs in our city.
❋ Intentional Structure
We blend online learning, individualized coaching, and personalized work plans to reimagine how congregations can invest in long-term, community change.
❋ Collaborative Energy
Connection is a core part of the process. A church pastor and lay leader will join a cohort of other churches. During this process each cohort will identify a need that they would like to address in the city and come up with a collaborative solution.
❋ A Supportive Space
Each cohort will have a coach that will work with them individually and as a collective to absorb the material and develop their plan for action.
❋ The Commitment
Attend monthly cohort meetings September 2026-May 2027
One church staff member and one lay leader must join the monthly cohort meetings. (We recommend inviting a business leader as the lay leader.)
Complete the required assignments each month on their own schedule (about 2 hours)

Participants engage with high-quality teaching videos designed to be completed on their own schedule, featuring leading voices in community development, theology, and church-based transformation such as Ray Bakke. These sessions are designed to challenge, equip, and inspire leaders to pursue lasting change within Nashville.
Become a bridge
Each Charity to Change Cohort has a capstone project that they complete. Through this incredible program lives have been impacted through affordable housing, food pantries, safety nets for kids aging out of foster care and more.
